Academic Integrity Update: New Resources Available

New and refreshed resources to help staff with their responsibilities around academic integrity are now available. The Academic Integrity webpage for staff has been refreshed and the managing student academic integrity issues webpage has been completely redeveloped to align with current policy. It includes revised forms and easy to follow flowcharts making it easier for staff to know the steps involved when an apparent failure to meet student academic integrity requirements has occurred. The Academic Integrity for staff FLO site has also been refreshed to reflect the policy changes and new resources.

To further support staff, CILT provides briefings for academic staff groups to ensure alignment of practice with the new policy and procedures. Full briefings to explain the full suite of changes (1 hour), or shorter ‘highlights’ briefings can be provided to teaching program groups or course teaching teams on request.

CILT also runs a workshop on Assessment design to support Academic Integrity which can help to reduce the potential for students to fail to meet requirements. This session is also available to teaching program groups or course teaching teams on request. TPDs and course coordinators can contact Don Houston or phone ext. 15412 to arrange a discussion.

Remember: Academic Integrity Officers in each college can advise and support staff in enacting the policy and procedures. Find out who the Academic Integrity Officer is in your college and contact them if you need help.
