In August, staff from Flinders Student Services and Flinders NT travelled around the Northern Territory to participate in the Department of Business’ 2016 Skills, Employment and Careers Expo.

The aim of the travelling Expo is to promote higher education, vocational education, training pathways, employment and career opportunities to high school students as well as anyone interested in starting, changing, re-skilling or upgrading their career.

The Flinders exhibitor booth proved a favourite at the Alice Springs Expo with the staff receiving the ‘Most Popular Exhibitor’ vote by attendees.  When asked to comment on their favourite exhibitor the attendees said that Flinders University’s presentation was ‘very informative’, ‘really helpful’, ‘professional and friendly’.

Flinders staff attended the Expo in Alice Springs, Katherine, Darwin and Nhulunbuy.  These visits were combined with visits to local high schools to promote Flinders courses and the Flinders Northern Territory Medical Program.
