Professor Tim Carey, 2017 Fulbright NT Scholar

2017 Fulbright Scholar Reception

On the 23rd of May a ceremony was held at the Charles Darwin University, to formally acknowledge the prestigious 2017 Fulbright Northern Territory Senior Scholarship awarded to Professor Tim Carey.

The Scholarship is to develop research training at the Center for Behavioral Health Innovation, Antioch University, New England. The training will be designed to assist practicing health professionals to evaluate and improve the programs and services they offer to patients in remote communities.

Professor Carey, Director, Centre for Remote Health  is a clinical psychologist, researcher and clinician and is particularly interested in improving patients’ control in health care settings in terms of the way in which services are designed, delivered, and accessed.

The Fulbright Program is the flagship foreign exchange scholarship program of the United States of America, aimed at increasing binational collaboration, cultural understanding, and the exchange of ideas. Since its inception in Australia in 1949, the Fulbright Commission has awarded over 5,000 scholarships, creating a vibrant, dynamic, and interconnected network of Alumni.
