Calling all Junior Medical Officers

The Flinders NT Regional Training Hub (FNT RTH) is keen to understand the views of Junior Medical Officers (JMOs) and early vocational specialist trainees (Non-General Practice) who wish to live and work in the NT and provide care to Territorians in rural and remote NT.

We are planning a National conference for May next year based in Alice Springs prior to the 7th Rural and Remote Health Scientific Symposium.

Prior to finalising the proposal and program FNT RTH is asking for input from JMO’s working in the Territory about what they think the needs are of in terms of access and support for specialist training in the NT and what would enable them to complete their desired training where needed and return to work in the NT.

FNT RTH are hosting a one-day workshop on Saturday 14th December in Darwin for anyone interested being involved in the proposed conference or developing a small working group of JMOs to discuss rural and remote training needs and opportunities.

We encourage anyone interested in doing as much speciality training in the NT as possible and/or returning to the NT after completing specialist training to apply. We would like to capture as many different perspectives as we can to contribute to improving specialist training opportunities for you in the NT. FNT RTH will cover flights and accommodation for 2 nights for anyone interested who is outside of Darwin but we will need your EOI no later than Monday 2 December.

Please forward your expression of interest to fnt.rth@flinders.edu.au with the following details
