Sir Henry Thomas Scholarship for Postgraduate Study - Hispanic Studies

Applications are invited for the Sir Henry Thomas Scholarship, tenable for Doctoral or Masters level research.
Applications are sought from outstanding candidates with a high upper second or first class honours degree (or equivalent) and a Masters (where applicable) and welcome submissions from prospective students intending to work in any area of Spanish or Portuguese studies. The Sir Henry Thomas Scholarship currently has an annual value of £9,000, including fees and a stipend. The successful candidate would commence study between October 2008 and January 2009, and may be invited to contribute some teaching in the department in an area relevant to their knowledge and research interests.
Application is by CV and a detailed research plan which should provide clear evidence of an ability to complete the proposed programme of study within the allocated time span (PhD 3 years; Masters 1 year).
