fran-and-loriSouthgate PhD student Lori Baugh-Littlejohns was awarded her Doctor of Philosophy in October 2016. She was supervised by Prof. Fran Baum, Dr. Angela Lawless, and Dr. Toby Freeman.

Her thesis, “System building blocks for health promotion policy and practice in a regional health system in South Australia” examined from a complex systems perspective the policy, fiscal, and health system drivers behind the recent heavy reductions in health promotion activity in South Australia, and received very positive comments from reviewers. She has presented her findings at international conferences, and a policy briefing paper, and is currently drafting journal articles arising from her thesis.
