INU Master’s Summer School Hiroshima 2015

Hello everyone. My name is Lidya Christin Sinaga. I am a Master Student of International Relations. This is my first year in Flinders University. I am very excited to get this great opportunity to attend the International Network of Universities Master’s Summer School on Global Citizenship and Peace 2015. As an international student, I really appreciate the chance that has been given to me to represent Flinders University in this event.

I am very excited and nervous as well since this is my first overseas conference. I am very excited that I will visit Japan, especially Hiroshima, the city that I often heard and read in the history lesson, and in the next few days I will attend the peace memorial ceremony for the dropping of the atomic bomb. What a surprise to me! But at the same time, I am nervous imagining the seminar will be, especially the paper presentation and simulation of UN General Assembly special session which topic is about “Gender, Peace, and Security”.

Overall, I know I will have great experiences, great new friends, and the most important thing, knowledge about global citizenship and peace that I can share once I finish this program. Wish me luck!
