AITI was delighted to host Professor Alex de Ruyter, Director of the Centre for Brexit Studies, Birmingham City University on Thursday 21 of Feburary.

Alex presented a concise overview of research undertaken with Martyn Brown in their recent book, The Gig Economy, an authoritative guide through the theories and issues that surround the gig economy. Alex addressed the key facets of this labour market phenomenon, including the dangers and potential it affords. The presentation was followed by a conversation on the gig economy and other important topics relating to the future of work with Professor John Spoehr.
