{"id":1913,"date":"2024-12-02T14:33:56","date_gmt":"2024-12-02T04:03:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/alumni-stories\/?p=1913"},"modified":"2025-12-04T10:16:02","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T23:46:02","slug":"flinders-students-and-alumni-sweep-48-hour-film-project-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/alumni-stories\/2024\/12\/02\/flinders-students-and-alumni-sweep-48-hour-film-project-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Flinders Students and Alumni Sweep 48 Hour Film Project Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alumni and current students of the Flinders Drama Centre, and the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Screen) piled up awards at the Adelaide division of the international <a href=\"https:\/\/www.48hourfilm.com\/adelaide\"><em>48 Hour Film Project<\/em><\/a> last week.<\/p>\n<p>Drama Centre alumni company The CRAM Collective won 4 Awards including Best Film, Best Writing, Best Directing and Best Acting Ensemble for <em>THIS IS FINE.<\/em>, directed by <strong>Ren Williams<\/strong> (BCreatArts(Drama) \u201920, BCreatArts(Hons) \u201921) and starring <strong>Connor Pullinger<\/strong> (BCreatArts(Drama) \u201923, BCreatArts(Hons) \u201924) and <strong>James Starbuck<\/strong> (BCreatArts(Drama) \u201921, BCreatArts(Hons) \u201923). The film was produced by <strong>Maddie Siegertsz<\/strong> (BCreatArts(Screen) \u201920).<\/p>\n<p>A team of Drama Centre staff, students and alumni led by <strong>Kristoffer Lucia<\/strong> (BCreatArts(Screen) \u201922, BCreatArts(Hons) \u201922) won second place for Best Film with <em>Goodbye Hercules <\/em>by Electric Milk. The film received five awards in total, including Best Performance &#8211; <strong>Shardae Santos<\/strong> (3<sup>rd<\/sup> year Bachelor of Performance \u2013 Acting), Best Supporting Performance \u00a0&#8211; <strong>Philippos Ziakas<\/strong> (BCreatArts(Drama) \u201917), Best Editing &#8211; <strong>Liam D&#8217;Silva<\/strong> (Bachelor Creative Arts (Screen), Best Use of Genre, and the Crew Award <strong>&#8211; Alex Karytinos<\/strong> (3<sup>rd<\/sup> Year Bachelor of Performance \u2013 Acting).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eliza Barnes <\/strong>(AssocDegArts \u201922) won Best Use of Character for <em>Barking Mad<\/em> by Let Me Roll It.<\/p>\n<p>The 48 Hour Film Project is the largest filmmaking competition in the world, and takes place on different weekends in different cities throughout the year.
