The film won multiple awards for the Adelaide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.48hourfilm.com\/adelaide\">48 Hour Film Project 2024<\/a>, including Best Film, Best Writing, Best Directing, Best Acting Ensemble and Best Poster.<\/p>\n<p><em>THIS IS FINE<\/em>. represented Adelaide against all other city winners from around the world at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.48hourfilm.com\/filmapalooza-explained\">48HFP Filmapalooza 2025<\/a> in Seattle, coming 3<sup>rd<\/sup> for Best Film and Best Writing, and was nominated for Best Directing, Best Ensemble and Best Use of Prop.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the win, Director Ren Williams said, \u201cWe are beyond proud of our incredible team of local and young talent on Kaurna land who, in just 48 hours, came together to create movie magic and a story worth telling in today\u2019s current climate crisis<\/p>\n<p>It is such an honour to not only represent Adelaide but all of Australia, being the first team in Australia&#8217;s 48HFP film history to go this far. Our team is thrilled for the world to see THIS IS FINE. on the big screen at Cannes&#8217; Short Film Corner in May.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ren first competed in the 48HR Film Project in 2017 with her Flinders Drama Centre class. She\u2019s competed every year since, with Drama and Screen students and alumni, leading to their highly successful 2024 entry.<\/p>\n<p>The Film tells the story of three roommates cooped up in their house during a heatwave questioning if everything is fine. It was also shortlisted for Best Script in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fleurieufilmfestival.com.au\/\">2025 Fleurieu Film Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>THIS IS FINE.<\/em> will have three Fleurieu Film Festival Screenings in Adelaide in March and April, with tickets on sale for only $12.
