Flinders Caring Futures Institute Director Professor Raymond Chan attended and presented at the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer Conference in Toronto, Canada from June 23-25. He provided a comprehensive overview of care models in cancer survivorship to delegates. Deputy Director of the Cancer Survivorship Program Dr Nicolas Hart also presented at the hybrid conference, discussing advanced and metastatic cancer.
Prof Chan also took part in Quality Survivorship Care – Why Now? Why Us? in Adelaide on June 16.
Professor Alison Kitson and Dr Tiffany Conroy attended the International Learning Collaborative Conference in Oxford, UK from June 13-14. Prof Kitson is a Founding Member of the ILC. This year’s conference had the theme Fundamental Care in Times of Crises. A highlight of the event was a keynote delivered by Flinders’ Torrens Resilience Initiative Director Professor Paul Arbon, entitled Here be Dragons: Preparing for the Unthinkable.
Dr Nina Sivertsen and Warumungu woman Tahlia Johnson presented about equity in healthcare and developing culturally safe approaches to the International Collaboration for Community Health Nursing Research (ICCHNR) Conference, held in Växjö, Sweden from June 21-22.
Professor Robyn Clark and Professor Jeroen Hendriks took part in the EuroHeartCare annual conference – Association for Cardiovascular Nurses and Allied Professions (European Society of Cardiology) in Madrid, Spain from May 22-23. Prof Hendriks will soon present at the SIGMA Annual Conference in July, where he will also be inducted into the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame.
