{"id":398,"date":"2020-11-25T11:23:28","date_gmt":"2020-11-25T00:53:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/caring-futures-institute\/?p=398"},"modified":"2020-11-25T11:23:28","modified_gmt":"2020-11-25T00:53:28","slug":"cfi-researchers-present-to-thousands-for-international-symposium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/caring-futures-institute\/2020\/11\/25\/cfi-researchers-present-to-thousands-for-international-symposium\/","title":{"rendered":"CFI researchers present to thousands for international symposium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p lang=\"x-size-18\">Researchers from the Caring Futures Institute presented to a virtual audience of 27,000 recently for an international symposium on nursing leadership and clinical evidence translation.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"x-size-18\">The researchers presented each during different timeslots of the two-day <span class=\"font-arial\">virtual symposium jointly hosted by Flinders University and the School of Nursing at Fudan University, China.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"size-12\" lang=\"x-size-12\"><strong>Virtual International Symposium on Nursing Leadership and Clinical Evidence Translation: presenters from the Flinders University Caring Futures Institute:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"size-12\" lang=\"x-size-12\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/caringfutures.createsend1.com\/t\/r-l-juiylruk-l-d\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Professor Alison Kitson<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/caringfutures.createsend1.com\/t\/r-l-juiylruk-l-h\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">,<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>Caring Futures Institute Foundational Director and lead of the Knowledge Translation theme, provided the opening remarks on 20 and 21 November, as well as a presentation on &#8216;Facilitators and Leaders Actively Mobilising Evidence (FLAME)&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"size-12\" lang=\"x-size-12\"><a href=\"https:\/\/caringfutures.createsend1.com\/t\/r-l-juiylruk-l-k\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Professor Robyn Clark<\/strong>,<\/a> lead of the Better Care theme at the Caring Futures Institute, delivered &#8216;Research without translation and implementation: what is the point?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"size-12\" lang=\"x-size-12\"><a href=\"https:\/\/caringfutures.createsend1.com\/t\/r-l-juiylruk-l-u\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Dr Sarah Hunter<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/caringfutures.createsend1.com\/t\/r-l-juiylruk-l-o\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0<\/a>presented on M i-PARIHS Toolkit and a case study &#8211; linking practice facilitation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"size-12\" lang=\"x-size-12\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/caringfutures.createsend1.com\/t\/r-l-juiylruk-l-x\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr Tiffany Conroy<\/a><\/strong> presented &#8216;REDUCE: Eat Walk Engage&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"size-12\" lang=\"x-size-12\"><strong>Dr Heather Block<\/strong> presented &#8216;How do I do Knowledge Translation? The perspective from a clinician to researcher&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"size-12\" lang=\"x-size-12\"><a href=\"https:\/\/caringfutures.createsend1.com\/t\/r-l-juiylruk-l-m\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Dr Michael Lawless<\/strong><\/a> presented on &#8216;The relationship between transdisciplinary research collaboration and KT incl KT complexity network model&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"size-12\" lang=\"x-size-12\"><a href=\"https:\/\/caringfutures.createsend1.com\/t\/r-l-juiylruk-l-c\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Associate Professor Stacey George<\/strong><\/a> presented &#8216;What is the role of a leader to promote innovation in a clinical setting?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"size-12\" lang=\"x-size-12\"><a href=\"https:\/\/caringfutures.createsend1.com\/t\/r-l-juiylruk-l-q\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Professor Lily Xiao<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/caringfutures.createsend1.com\/t\/r-l-juiylruk-l-a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0<\/a>presented &#8216;Translating knowledge into practice in caregivers through leadership in implementing iSupport for Dementia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Researchers from the Caring Futures Institute presented to a virtual audience of 27,000 recently for an international symposium on nursing leadership and clinical evidence translation.
