Like many other higher education institutions, Flinders University is moving to protect the health and well-being of its students and staff with a variety of strategies, including a move to increased online teaching.<\/p>\n<p>With students asked not to attend lectures, how do we best facilitate teaching whilst remaining true to our Flinders <a href=\"https:\/\/staff.flinders.edu.au\/learning-teaching\/principles\">Learning &amp; Teaching principles<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>This Special Issue of Learning &amp; Teaching@Flinders is designed to help you \u2018hit the ground running\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>There are already a huge range of resources and supports available to you; some you may know about and some you may not. In this Special Issue we have curated articles dedicated to online:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>teaching (that you already do)<\/li>\n<li>accessibility<\/li>\n<li>academic integrity<\/li>\n<li>groupwork<\/li>\n<li>assessment considerations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>as well as links to resources you might find useful. These resources include self-paced and moderated online modules, equipment, workshops and how-to articles. In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the ACODE (Australasian Council for Open and Distance Education) key points on e-assessments available in the <a href=\"https:\/\/flo.flinders.edu.au\/mod\/glossary\/showentry.php?courseid=151&amp;eid=106638&amp;displayformat=dictionary\">first draft of Recommendations for institutions considering moving any teaching that is moving online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We trust you find this issue timely and useful as we continue to keep our students\u2019 learning experiences first and foremost during this challenging time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nationally, the COVID-19 outbreak is changing the face of teaching.
