With over 13,000 attendees and the opportunity to choose from hundreds of sessions focusing on best practice and what you can achieve, it was initially a bit overwhelming \u2013 but I quickly homed in on the higher ed track. It was extremely valuable to be able to hear from and network with higher ed users from across the world, especially those who had already implemented Workday within their universities.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-98 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/digital-business-services\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/90\/2019\/11\/IMG_3329comp-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Workday Rising hall\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/digital-business-services\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/90\/2019\/11\/IMG_3329comp-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/digital-business-services\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/90\/2019\/11\/IMG_3329comp-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/digital-business-services\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/90\/2019\/11\/IMG_3329comp-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/digital-business-services\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/90\/2019\/11\/IMG_3329comp.jpg 2001w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hearing other universities\u2019 experiences, it was clear that deployment of the Workday Human Capital Management system within Flinders will be the start of an exciting and innovative ongoing journey. We will be moving from a long term fairly static legacy system to a cloud-based technology which facilitates constant iteration, improvement and agility. How we will conduct our HR process and use our HR data to inform decision making will be at an industry leading level, and we will be able to stay at the leading edge if we utilise Workday\u2019s functionality to its best ability.
