I will be expanding on arguments made in my latest book, <em>Critical Gaming: Interactive History and Virtual Heritage<\/em> and touching on related issues of infrastructure and issues in the Digital Humanities, but particular those issues affecting digital heritage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bio:\u00a0<\/strong>Erik Champion is Professor of Cultural Visualisation at Curtin University, and researches issues in the area of virtual heritage. The theme leader for Visualisation at the <a href=\"http:\/\/computation.curtin.edu.au\">Curtin Institute of Computation<\/a>, he also writes about game design, virtual places, architectural computing and interaction design. He wrote <em>Critical Gaming: Interactive History and Virtual Heritage<\/em> (Ashgate\u2019s Digital Humanities Series, 2015), <em>Playing with the Past<\/em> (Springer, 2011), and edited <em>Game Mods: Design, Theory and Criticism<\/em> (ETC Press, 2012). Prior to joining Curtin University he was Project leader of DIGHUMLAB in Denmark, a consortium of four Danish universities, hosted at Aarhus University.
