We are pleased to share that Flinders University has made a strong debut in the 2026 CEO Magazine Global MBA Rankings, marking an exciting milestone for our growing MBA program. This was our first year participating in the rankings, which independently assess more than 340 MBA programs across 24 countries, and the results reflect the collective effort and commitment of our academic community.

Despite working to tight submission timelines—and with some data unavailable as a result—our Flinders MBA has been listed among the global Tier One MBA programs. This places us alongside well‑established business schools worldwide and signals the increasing strength, quality, and reputation of our program.

In even more encouraging news, our Online MBA has been ranked equal 36th globally, outperforming several longstanding and prominent programs, including RMIT and a number of US universities. This achievement is particularly notable given the competitive landscape of online MBA offerings and the rapid expansion of this mode of study internationally.

These rankings reflect the momentum we have built since 2023. When Dr Tanouri and Professor Shafei took on leadership of the MBA, the cohort sat at 186 students. By last year, numbers had grown to 370 students across the MBA and nested programs, and we are on track to exceed 400 students very soon.

Our growth has been supported by a series of strategic initiatives: the FOL pathway, the introduction of graduate certificates, targeted domestic marketing, and enhanced student support and success measures. As a result, we have increased our domestic cohort from 16% in 2023 to 29% this year, improved our gender balance to 60% female, and reduced attrition from 36% in 2023 to 15% in 2025—now below the University average.

As we progress toward AACSB accreditation, we will soon become eligible for additional global ranking systems. You can expect more positive developments in 2027 and beyond—but for now, we wanted to share this important news with our alumni community.
