When Suzie rang me to tell me she was heading over, she was clear that she felt a moral imperative to do it after hearing about the conditions residents in these facilities were exposed to. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>She had put herself into a situation surrounded by disease and death, and I am so incredibly proud of her and her efforts. Although there were a number of nurses who went over, Suzie has left our family and children to do so, and given what a devoted mother she is I know how hard this has been on her.
