Professor Graeme Young AM was inducted as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences at the Academy’s third Annual Scientific Meeting held in Adelaide on October 19-20, and convened by Professor David Watson.
Professor Fran Baum AO, Director of the Southgate Institute of Health, Society & Equity at Flinders University was also inducted as a Fellow.

Professor Graeme Young AM is a global leader in prevention of colorectal cancer.
His contributions span epithelial and molecular biology, nutrition, biomarker development and validation, clinical and population randomised trials.
He established the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer as Director of Development and chaired the growth of the most influential global network in colorectal cancer screening, the World Endoscopy Organisation Committee, from 50 to 550 people who meet annually in three continents.
He has 265 published articles or reviews, given almost 200 invited lectures, received national and international awards, and attracted over $44M in competitive research funds with colleagues.
