Priority-driven collaborative cancer research – early-career project grants

Deadline: Applications must be submitted via the NHMRC ideas grant scheme. Minimum data due by 5pm AEST, 1 April; applications due by 5pm AEST, 13 May 2020.

Cancer Australia, in collaboration with its funding partners, invites applications for its priority-driven collaborative cancer research – early-career project grants. These support research in identified priority areas to help reduce the impact of cancer on the community and improve outcomes for people affected by cancer. Applicants may submit applications for projects in all general cancer research priorities or within childhood cancers of low survival. Grants are available in three categories:

  • category B – for one-year grants, worth up to AUD 100,000 each, to support researchers with less than three years’ postdoctoral or post-medical school graduation experience;
  • category C – two-year grants, worth up to AUD 200,000 each, to support researchers with three to seven years’ postdoctoral or post-medical school graduation experience;
  • category D – one-year grants, worth up to AUD 100,000 each, to support researchers with up to seven years’ postdoctoral or post-medical school graduation experience.
