\"\"The National Breast Cancer Foundation invites applications for its investigator-initiated research scheme. This supports the salary and research costs of investigators with a vision to expand the scale and scope of breast cancer research in Australia. Funding is available in the following categories:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. category one \u2013 for researchers with up to three years of postdoctoral experience who are listed as co-investigators;<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. category two \u2013 for researchers with between three and seven years of postdoctoral experience, worth AUD 110,000 per year for four\u00a0years;<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. category three \u2013 for researchers with between seven and 12 years of postdoctoral experience, worth AUD 130,000 per year for four\u00a0years;<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. category four \u2013 for researchers with up to 12 years of postdoctoral experience, worth AUD 36,000 per year for five\u00a0years;<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. category five \u2013 for practising clinicians, public health, public service, allied health professionals, nurse, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health members, worth AUD 175,000 per year for five years.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The PI can nominate a maximum of five co-investigators and an unlimited number of associate investigators. The PI and at least 50 per cent of the nominated co-investigators must reside in Australia throughout the funding period and be Australian citizens, have resident status or have an appropriate visa to work in Australia. The proposed project must be managed under the auspices of a university, hospital or major research institution within Australia.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
