Athletics South Australia and Flinders University have announced a new partnership agreement for Fitzy’s 5 – South Australia’s premier five kilometre fun run, to be held this year on Sunday, 3 August.

The deal will see Flinders University as the naming rights partner of the event through until 2016, and Flinders University also become the Official Education Partner for Athletics SA.

The Flinders University Fitzy’s 5 is a 5km community focused run and walk around the streets of Adelaide which raises funds for cancer research and honours the memory of South Australian dual Olympian David Fitzsimons, who died from cancer aged 58.

As the naming sponsor of Fitzy’s 5, Flinders has 40 free registrations available to staff and students – please email vpsfroffice@flinders.edu.au to snap up a free entry.
