eLearning Gateway is live – new streamlined FLO+design support site

The Centre for Educational ICT are pleased to announce that the current FLO staff support site has been renamed the eLearning Gateway and revamped with new features and the ability to search for what you need when planning, developing and implementing the educational technology in your teaching. The Gateway supports the use of educational technology for teaching and learning at Flinders, including using FLO and designing for online. All the current FLO support materials, such as resources for electronic assignments and eMarking, are still there, but you will be able to search for what you need as well.

The new site features:

  • How do I….? Search across the entire site for selecting and setting up tools, troubleshooting for stuck moments
  • Topic showcase: See and share good practice across the faculties
  • Tool-picker: Not sure what tool to use? Pick the right FLO, web tool or mobile app for the job
  • Design for online: Ideas for designing online environments and activities
  • eLearning literature collection: Search for selected published articles with an educational technology focus
  • Events and workshops: Find out what is happening at Flinders

The Gateway will grow over time as we develop new materials and supports. If you would like to receive updates from the Gateway team, and keep the Gateway in your topic list, you can self-enrol. If not, you can always find the Gateway by clicking on Support materials for staff; it’s in the same location as before.

We invite you to have a look at the site and tell us what you think. What do you like? What else would you like to see there? Please use the feedback point on the site to let us know so we can keep improving.
