Hospital experience survey

Have you recently been a patient in hospital or visiting a loved one who has been in hospital? Do you have 90 minutes to spare for a paid research study? Researchers from the School of Nursing and Midwifery are seeking past patients or family members and carers of people who have been in hospital for a new study.

The study aims to explore how family members and carers can be involved in recognising patient deterioration and trigger attention for their loved one through the hospital’s medical emergency team.

The research will explore ways in which previous patients, carers or family members of patients would like to be informed about how to gain rapid attention for a patient who is showing signs of clinical deterioration.

Participation involves an audio-recorded, 90-minute focus group. Personal details will be confidential and participants will receive a $30 reimbursement.

The focus groups are running on multiple dates and locations across the metropolitan area.
