Flinders now has a way to prevent left-over platters going to waste.

OzHarvest in South Australia has a new food rescue van – its third – which will service the southern region of Adelaide. ‘Marigold’ will provide food rescue from Marion to Aldinga, collecting good food from food businesses of all sizes and redistributing to local charitable organisations.

It is estimated that in the first year, the initative will rescue and redistribute an additional 250,000 meals which will save more than 80 tonnes of food from landfill.
