Teaching Awards and Grants: call for applications

2015 OLT Innovation and Development Grants Round 1, 2015

These grants aim to support research, development and innovation related to the enhancement of learning and teaching in higher education. The applications can address a wide range of priority areas, including academic standards, the contemporary PhD, and improving access and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in higher education.  Key dates, guidelines and information on how to apply are available here. 2015 OLT National Teaching Fellowships

The aim of the fellowships programme is to advance learning and teaching in higher education by supporting a group of leading educators to undertake strategic, high-profile activities in areas of importance to the sector. Through their fellowship activities, Fellows have a positive and lasting influence and impact on higher education practice in Australia.  Information on the types of fellowships and how to nominate is available here. 2014 Flinders Teaching and Learning Innovation Grants

Do you have an idea for a project which shows innovation in any aspect of teaching, learning and/or assessment? Do you want to produce improvements in teaching quality, effectiveness and efficiency and learning outcomes for students but don’t have the resources? Applications for Flinders Teaching and Learning Innovation Grants are still open. Up to nine grants are available per year (including two focused on Internationalisation of the Curriculum) in the range of $6000 to $12000 each.

2014 Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Teaching

Are you someone that influences, motivates and inspires students to learn? Are you involved in the development of curricula and resources that reflect a command of the field? Do you show approaches to assessment and feedback that foster independent learning? Do you demonstrate respect and support for the development of students as individuals? Have you engaged in scholarly activities that have influenced and enhanced learning and teaching? If you answered YES to all of these, then why not consider applying for a Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching? Winners receive a prize of $5000 to be used to further enhance teaching excellence within the university. Applications are now open and more information is available here.
