Flinders University Library and the Friends of the State Library of South Australia present Australia Circumnavigated: celebrating the achievements and legacy of Matthew Flinders.

The event will run from 2-5pm on Friday, 7 November in the Hetzel Lecture Theatre, Institute Building, State Library of SA, Corner North Terrace and Kintore Avenue, Adelaide.

The afternoon of talks and discussion will feature expert speakers visiting from the UK, including

• Kenneth Morgan, editor of the Matthew Flinders’ Investigator journals to be published early in 2015
• Mike Barritt, president of the Hakluyt Society, publisher of the new edition.

The visiting speakers will be joined by three prominent Adelaide-based Flinders scholars, Jean Fornasiero, Danielle Clode and Dany Breelle.
