Advance Global Awards seek alumni success stories

Staff who are aware of Flinders graduates who have made good in their fields are urged to put their names forward for the Advance Global Australian Awards.

Nominations are now open for the 2015  Awards, to be held at the Sydney Opera House on Monday 14 September 2015.

This international Australian Awards program is designed to showcase the work of Australian and Australian alumni leaders who are making their mark in diverse industries around the world.

The nominations will help identify and share the stories of Australians and Australian university alumni living overseas, and Australian returnees. The program is looking for innovators across 12 categories who have made a global impact in their given field.

Last year’s winners were showcased across national media in Australia and had the opportunity to fly home for a high-profile Awards Presentation Ceremony at the Sydney Opera House. As well as bringing home their experience and talents, the Awards paired up winners with university students from Australian universities for a 12-month one-on-one mentoring program – providing advice and inspiration to the next generation of Australian leaders.

Please let us know if you have the capacity to help us promote the awards and I would happy to provide you with some material.

There are further details on the Awards website. Nominations close on February 18.

If you think you have a possible nominee, please contact Geoff Sauer in Alumni and Development for assistance on ext 12511 or email geoffrey.sauer@flinders.edu.au
