An 80,000-word thesis is estimated to take some nine hours to present, but Flinders University PhD students are again being challenged to do it in just three minutes.

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is an international competition which asks PhD candidates to briefly present an engaging oration of their thesis topic to a public audience.

Entrants are judged on their communication style, explanation of their research and audience engagement.

Registrations are now open for the 2015 3MT with faculty heats to be held from May 25 to 29 on campus
