A grant opportunity for staff teaching first-year undergraduate students  initiated in 2013 has funding available for Semester 2 2015, with two grants valued at a maximum of $3,000. The scheme is based on one that has been running for a number of years at the University Technology, Sydney. Please circulate this information to all staff in your school/area who will have responsibility for teaching first year students in Semester 2, 2015.

The grants are open to all staff teaching in a first year topic in Semester 2 2015 or who will have leadership responsibility for a first year topic. Staff employed in Education Focused Roles and who have not previously received a grant are particularly encouraged to apply.
