Jeri Kroll’s young adult fiction shortlised for award

KrollThe Dean of Graduate Research, Professor Jeri Kroll, has been shortlisted in the upcoming 2015 Queensland Literary Awards (Griffith University Young Adult Book Award) for her book Vanishing Point.

The story follows the story of 19-year-old Diana Warren, who suffers from anorexia and
bulimia as well as a range of issues within her family. Set against the backdrop of Adelaide and the bushfire season on the Fleurieu Peninsula, the narrative emerges from a variety of viewpoints and employs both poetry and prose.

The book is published by Puncher and Wattman.
