Staff have an opportunity to win a grant to “Embed Transition Pedagogy Practices into First Year Curriculum’.
The grant opportunity for staff teaching first year undergraduate students that was initiated in 2013 has funding available for 2016. The grants are valued at a maximum of $4,000.
The scheme is based on one that has been running for a number of years at the University Technology, Sydney. Please circulate this information to all staff in your school/area who will have responsibility for developing curriculum for first year topics in 2016. Information on previous successful grants may be found here.
The grants are open to all staff who develop curriculum in a first year topic or who will have leadership responsibility for a first year topic. Staff who have not previously received one of these grants are particularly encouraged to apply. An information session will be held on 11th November at 12 noon in Physical Sciences Room 1300.
