Remembrance Day ceremony on campus

Flinders will hold a ceremony to observe Remembrance Day on the lawns opposite the Registry on Wednesdaypoppies, November 11 at 11am.

The short service, which marks the 97th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended the First World War, will be held around the three flagpoles, and will be attended by air force cadets and students from the Australian Science and Maths School.

The ceremony will feature recordings of Reveille and the Last Post, and will include the traditional minute of silence to honour all those who died or suffered in wars and armed conflicts.

Poppies will be sold, with proceeds going to the RSL.

All staff and students are welcome to attend. Please be present prior to the commencement of the ceremony.

Registry Road will be closed for the duration of the ceremony.
