Infrastructure, road and car park works over the student break

As the student break commences, works to improve our campus and complete the Student Hub redevelopment ramp up. Please read on for changes underway over the next few months.

From 21 November 2015

Access to Registry Building from the main entrance will reopen and the path of travel from Registry Road into the new Hub will change.

The new path of travel includes a small set of temporary stairs. Disability access is available by:

  • entering the Registry Building on the Western Side (basement entry near Sports Centre)
  • taking the lift to ground floor; and
  • following the corridor to the Eastern Registry entry door.

Please refer to the construction map for further guidance.

From 23 November 2015:

Please note that a section of Ring Road will be closed between the University Drive intersection and Registry Road, from Monday 23 November to Friday 4 December.

This closure will allow continued work on the University’s high voltage system to ensure the integrity of our electricity supply and has been timed to coincide with a quieter period on campus.

Cars looking to park in car parks accessed via Ring Road will need to travel southward around the campus as per the diagram.

These closures will not affect bus or pedestrian traffic.

From 25 November 2015:

Physical Sciences Road will be closed to traffic on and off throughout  the following period:

Wednesday 25 November 2015 to Friday 18 January 2016

From 4 December 2015

The Central Library’s foyer lift will be closed for upgrade until further notice. Access from ground floor to level one is available via the new Hub lift, located in the northern entrance from Registry. For after hours access or any queries, please contact Security (08) 8201 2880.

From 5 January 2016:

Works will be undertaken on University Hall Terrace. This road will be closed to traffic on the following dates:

Tuesday 5 January – Wednesday 6 January 2016

Wednesday 13 January – Thursday 14 January 2016
