A range of health awareness events and resources for February have been complied by the Work Health and Safety Unit:
RedFeb – Heart research month, join the red army and help beat Australia’s No.1 killer heart disease.
World Cancer Day – 4 February – raise awareness and get as many people as possible around the world to talk about cancer.
MS Mighty 24 Hr Swim – 13-14 February– Make a splash and help raise funds for people living with MS, join the 24-hour relay challenge at Unley Swimming Centre.
Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month – 1-29 February – learn the symptoms.
Healthy Weight Week, 15-21 February – Get inspired to achieve a healthier weight and lifestyle.
EAP – Employee Assistance Program, an independent counselling service is available to University staff members who are experiencing work related or personal problems. This service is confidential, up to 3 consults paid for by the University, for further details see WHS unit web page.
Oasis – A University Centre for hospitality, wellbeing and inclusive spirituality that aims to inspire a culture of care.
Flinders One Fitness also runs health and fitness programs with special offers.
