Step back to Pynchon and 1966

imagesDr Nick Prescott (ABC Radio film reviewer and lecturer in English) will present his take on Thomas Pynchon’s The Crying of Lot 49 as the next in the ‘Step Back! 1966 in Review’ series, to be presented at Flinders University Victoria Square on 7 April at 6pm.

Pynchon’s novel is a kaleidoscopic tale often described as postmodern anti-detective fiction, and one that is more than usually attuned to the zeitgeist of 1960s counterculture.

The free lecture series is devoted to revisiting the culture and times in which Flinders University was founded through the eyes (and minds) of members of the School of Humanities and Creative Arts, past and present.
