Commentary by Social and Policy Studies’ Associate Professor Yvonne Corcoran-Nantes on the prevalence of  the adoption of husbands’ names by wives and of fathers’ surnames for children was featured in interviews on ABC radio locally and interstate, and also on ABC TV’s national Weekend Breakfast. The comments went on to receive coverage in online articles in India and the UK.

A new eye test devised for children with autism to be run by Flinders Vision was featured on ABC News 24 and ABC online.

Associate Professor Peter Catcheside (Medicine) was interviewed for regional ABC radio about his NHMRC-funded research into the noise effects of living near wind farms. The story also ran in numerous rural newspapers and in online publications.

An article analysing the success of Donald Trump featuring comments by Professor Emeritus Norman Feather (Psychology) and Professor Don DeBats (International Studies) was run in major Newscorp daily newspapers.
