Prominent drug and alcohol researcher and commentator Professor Ann Roche will present the next Investigators Lecture at Flinders University Victoria Square on Wednesday, 20 April, on Preventing Drug Problems in Young People.

The Director of the National Centre for Education and Training and Addiction at Flinders, Professor Roche will address issues related to increasing concern about the use or ‘misuse’ of alcohol and drugs by young people.

Opinions abound in regard to what strategies and approaches should be applied to prevent problematic use. Professor Roche’s presentation outlines the evidence base for effective prevention strategies, many of which are counter-intuitive.
