Convention Centre show features artworks by Ian Gibbins

GibbinsIan Gibbins, Professor Emeritus in Anatomy and Histology and well known for his creative synthesis of art and science, currently has an installation piece as part of a group exhibition at the Adelaide Convention Centre running right through June.

The piece, based on some of his electron microscopic work, forms part of a show is called Body of Evidence, which was was commissioned to run alongside a major Cancer Carers conference. Professor Gibbins has two videos in the show as well, running from 22-25 June: one will be projected on the windows on the south-west corner of the Convention Centre overlooking North Terrace and Montefiore / Morphett St Bridge; the other on a giant LED screen in the Centre itself.

Professor Gibbins is also working on another video commissioned by the Adelaide City Council to be projected onto a side of the Target Building in Rundle Street later in the year.
