Flinders in the news

RobAmong Flinders staff to appear in the mainstream media in the past week, Dr Rob Manwaring (pictured), Associate Professor Haydon Manning and Emeritus Professor Dean Jaensch have all been providing analysis and comment to the media as part of coverage of the Federal election campaign.

PhD researcher Jackie Wright from the School of the Environment gained wide newspaper and radio coverage of her findings on the dangerous level of drug residues found in children living in premises formerly used to produce methamphetamine.

Comments by Professor John Spoehr, Director of the Australian Industrial Transformation Institute, on moves to save steel producer Arrium were carried in national radio coverage of the issue.

Law School lecturer Dr Angela Melville provided comment on strategies for employment for law graduates in a story in Lawyers Weekly.

There was extensive newspaper, radio and television coverage of Flinders recipients of honours in the Queen’s Birthday list.
