Fish research explained in Lego

octopusTwo Flinders PhD students who have explained their research project in a short video using Lego are looking for your vote.

Sasha Whitmarsh and Lauren Mayer have entered the Australian Society for Fish Biology (ASFB) Student Science Communication Awards, which asks masters and PhD students to showcase their research in a three-minute video. The pair’s research program involves a survey using underwater cameras around the Neptune Islands near Port Lincoln to assess the effects on fish and other marine species of sharks and shark tourism in the area.

You can see their submission BRUVHEART here, and vote by clicking on the green button (you need to join online science community Thinkable to vote). Voting closes on July 10.
