Get funded to go to Germany

Staff and students are invited to express their interest in undertaking an exchange to Technische Universität Dresden in Saxony, Germany.

To promote collaborative partnerships and joint projects, TU Dresden is offering financial support for long-term stays in Dresden for scientific, professional and cultural exchange.

Financial support will be available for time periods from 14 days up to 6 months.

Opportunities for Professional Staff:

Project work: Staff engaged in promoting research, student exchange, knowledge transfer, fundraising or third party funding may submit their project ideas to support Flinders partnership with TU Dresden by 24 February 2017 to Felix Klee along with the following documents:

  • Letter of motivation/project outline (short description of your current position, proposed outcomes, expected benefit from the stay, proposed schedule for the planned stay, previous connections to TU Dresden)
  • Declaration of consent signed by your supervisor

International staff training week: Staff wanting to get an international perspective on diversity management, career services, support services, research collaboration and knowledge and technology transfer may apply for the 2017 International staff-training week, June 12- 16 by 17th February 2017 or contact Felix Klee to see if you are eligible for funding to support travel costs for a stay of 14 days.

Opportunities for Academic Staff:

If you are an academic working on diabetes and depression research project work and you’re interested in exploring collaborations, then submit your project ideas and applications to Felix Klee by 24 February 2017.

Opportunities for Students:

If you are a PhD student working on diabetes and depression research projects then you are eligible for financial and organisational support for research stays and conference travel in Germany.
