Flinders beats at the heart of winter music festival

Flinders music will beat at the heart of one of Adelaide’s most innovative music festivals on Monday 17 July.

Musical clips from more than 20 Flinders students are set to feature in an event called ‘Sights, Sounds and Soirees’ as part of ‘Umbrella: Winter City Sounds’.

Local bands will play their music underneath video projections of their performances.

Students of Music SA’s Certificate III and Flinders’ Bachelor of Creative Industries have collaborated on this once-off event, seeing their film and music works come to life.

The Flinders presence is the University’s second power packed performance in a row, with 23 participants at last year’s event.

This year’s Flinders students include Gere Fuss, Emma Hough-Hobbs, Bridget McDonald, Reece Calvert, Maya Coombs, and bands High Violet, Cabin Cults, Something To Rescue, The BordererS, Submerge and Audio Reign.
