The Nick Pennington Trio will be giving the next Lunchtime Music Concert tomorrow (2 August) at 12.30pm at the Flinders Tavern.

Nick Pennington is one of Adelaide’s leading young jazz musicians who has recently been awarded a full scholarship to the prestigious Manhattan School in New York.

His music is influenced by jazz musicians Bud Powell, John Coltrane, Jim Hall and Mark Turner.

This concert is a great opportunity to hear Nick’s original compositions and some of his favourite jazz standards before he heads to the United States.

Nick will be accompanied by long-time collaborators Lyndon Gray (double bass) and Angus Mason (drums).
