Just do it: a plan to stick to exercise regimes

The Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer is running a study on exercise and is looking for eligible participants who are over 18 years of age and who struggle to make physical activity a regular part of their lives.

Participants who complete the study will go into a draw to win a $50 Coles-Myer voucher.

This study is part of a new project entitled ‘Just do it: online strategies to promote exercise adherence’.

This project will assess whether brief, online strategies can help to improve levels of physical activity among adults over one month.

The research team will also investigate the current and past physical activity of participants, and their intentions and attitudes in relation to exercise.

Participants will be invited to take part in a series of online surveys designed to help them achieve their exercise goals.

They will also receive information about physical activity, and they may be asked to trial a brief technique to improve engagement in regular physical activity.

More information on the study is available from the study website or by contacting janine.chapman@flinders.edu.au.
