Flinders Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering PhD student Dhara Amin (pictured) has won Best Presentation at the state final of Engineers Australia’s ‘Present Around the World’ (PATW) competition.

Dhara will now present her talk on “Debunking myths about slipped discs” at the national competition in 2018, and have an opportunity to be part of the global competition in London.

This success follows that of Flinders Engineering student Benjamin McCarl, who won the state event last year, and took second place at the national PATW competition.

The state final, which also featured a presentation on sleep apnoea by Flinders Biomedical Engineering student Laura Gell, was held as part of the Joint Technical Program of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, South Australia and the Northern Territory Local Network.
