Flinders mentoring scheme seeks participants

Expressions of interest are now sought from potential mentors and mentees who wish to participate in the Flinders University Researcher Mentoring Scheme from February – December 2018.

The scheme is designed to support early-career researchers and those transitioning to mid-career status (defined as 1 – 10 years post-PhD).

Each mentee is assisted in developing and maintaining a one-on-one mentoring partnership with a mentor, who is a senior Flinders academic that has been matched to the mentee’s specific requirements.

To date more than 100 early-career researchers at Flinders have benefited from the scheme, who have reported an enhanced their ability to plan their research career, set goals, lead, manage and collaborate as a result of their mentoring relationships.

Eligibility criteria and application documents for both mentees and mentors are available via RePortal, which can be accessed via staff members’ Okta login page, or by contacting Scheme Coordinator Dr Marina Delpin (marina.delpin@flinders.edu.au).

Interested researchers are invited to contact Dr Delpin to discuss any questions they may have about the scheme on 8201 3873.

Expressions of interest are due by Monday 27 November 2017.
