The joy of sharing good food in the Italian tradition is being celebrated by Flinders University at a special luncheon to be held as part of Italian Cuisine Week from 20-27 November.
Professor John Coveney from Flinders’ College of Nursing and Health Sciences will be guest speaker at BENE Aged Care in St Agnes for the invitation-only luncheon jointly hosted by the Italian Consulate and Flinders University on 24 November.
Dr Coveney’s address on ‘Food and Togetherness’ will focus on the importance of good food being a key to wellbeing and conviviality, an essential Italian tradition being practised at BENE Aged Care.
This luncheon is among 1,200 Italian Cuisine Week functions - from conferences and exhibitions to themed dinners and scientific workshops – being held simultaneously in more than 100 countries to recognise Italy’s rich culinary tradition.
