All eyes on refractive error

A Flinders PhD candidate in Optometry is looking for people who wear glasses or contact lenses or who have had refractive eye surgery to participate in a research study.

Himal Kandel’s project is looking at how wearing glasses or contact lenses or having refractive surgery influences quality of life, with a view to validating a new ‘quality of life’ questionnaire.

Entitled, ‘Development and validation of technologically advanced comprehensive quality of life questionnaire for refractive error’, Himal’s study is being supervised by Professor Konrad Pesudovs and Dr Jyoti Khadka and has been approved by the Southern Adelaide Clinical Human Research Ethics Committee.

Study participants are invited to complete an online questionnaire now.

All data collected by the questionnaire will remain confidential.

Questions can be directed to Himal Kandel by phoning 0450 899 575 or emailing himal.kandel@flinders.edu.au.
