Have a say in choosing software solutions for research

Staff are invited to attend a series of software demonstrations to help evaluate a range of IT solutions designed to meet Flinders’ requirements in Research Management, Publication Harvesting and Research Higher Degree Management.

The Research Management Tender Evaluation Panel and the Digital Research Services Team is staging this series of demonstrations by various software vendors at Flinders’ Bedford Park campus in the next two weeks.

The sessions are as follows:

  • 21 February, 1.00pm-5.00pm – Research Management, Publication Harvesting and Research Higher Degree Management
  • 1 March, 9.00am-12.00pm – Research Higher Degree Management
  • 1 March, 1.00pm-5.00pm – Research Management, Publication Harvesting and Ethics Management

Vendors will demonstrate their software using relevant cases from Flinders researchers, explaining their solution’s usability, flexibility and functionality, and answering questions from the audience.

After each session, a survey will be distributed among the audience, asking for feedback about whether the presented solutions meet staff research needs.

The outcomes of the surveys will be provided to the tender evaluation panel and contribute to their final selection.

Sessions will be recorded and made available to those unable to attend.
