Feminist disruption and discovery

Feminist scholarship and critical intellectual work in universities will be the subject of a public lecture presented by Associate Professor Christabelle Sethna, from the University of Ottawa.

Not an instruction manual: dystopian visions and the handmaid’s tale’ is the Ninth South Australian Women’s and Gender Studies Annual Public Lecture.

The free lecture provides an opportunity for those who are interested in feminist work to come together and hear from a pre-eminent scholar in the field.

About the presenter:

Christabelle Sethna is an Associate Professor in the Institute of Feminist and Gender Studies at the University of Ottawa, Canada. Her interests include a long history of research about abortion and sex education. She has authored a number of books including her most recent collaboration ‘Spotted Throughout with Red: The Cold War, RCMP Surveillance and the Women’s Liberation Movement.’
